The School of Nursing is committed to advancing nursing research that supports evidence-based healthcare. Whether implementing quality improvement projects, contributing to the expansion of healthcare knowledge, driving policy changes, or nurturing the next generation of nurses, we stand ready to be at the forefront of nursing research and scholarship.
Our faculty specializes in several areas that are crucial to improving healthcare delivery. Some of the most important areas include Nursing Education, Population Health, Translational Research and Implementation Science, Social Determinants of Health, Precision Health, and Military, Veteran, and Caregiver Health. Recent research conducted by our faculty includes studies on improving doctor-to-patient communication with prostate cancer patients, discovering gaps in healthcare for military caregivers, and implementing patient use of healthcare technology applications (Apps) for improved health interventions.
The Office of Nursing Research and Scholarshipās (ONRS) mission is to āFacilitate the advancement of nursing research and scholarship by providing tailored funding support and awareness to researchers through grant review and management, manuscript review, assistance with compliance, budget review, educational events and opportunities, and mentorship.ā ONRS is dedicated to progressing the research and scholarship activities of our faculty and students.
