ONRS Awards (Pilot - Excellence in Scholarship - Dissertation Completion)
Pilot Award:
The Office of Nursing Research and Scholarship (ONRS) pilot funding opportunity supports 12-month, discrete, well-defined pilot studies for investigators to obtain the preliminary data necessary to submit competitive external funding grant applications. We anticipate funding for up to two pilot projects for FY26.

Excellence in Scholarship Award
Funding, when available, is provided yearly by the Office of Nursing Research and Scholarship (ONRS) to support faculty and student excellence in scholarship. Recipients may receive up to $3,000 (each fiscal/academic year) to cover costs related to research and scholarship. Awards above the $3,000 cap will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Final award amounts will be determined based on the request, scope of need, impact of deliverables, and available funding.

Dissertation Completion Award
The Office of Nursing Research and Scholarship (ONRS), in partnership with the PhD Committee on Graduate Studies (PhD COGS), presents the º£½ÇÂ×ÂÒ School of Nursing (SON) Dissertation Completion Award to support doctoral students (PhD) with completing their dissertation. This monetary support provides students with the opportunity to develop and complete rigorous dissertation research that can lead to publications or follow-on research projects, promoting career advancement.
